Required Statements. In accordance with Charter § 1057-a, the Contractor hereby agrees as follows: 1. The Contractor shall advise all persons seeking voter registration forms and information, in writing together with other written materials provided by the Contractor or by appropriate publicity, that the Contractor’s or government services are not conditioned on being registered to vote. 2. No statement shall be made and no action shall be taken by the Contractor or an employee of the Contractor to discourage an applicant from registering to vote or to encourage or discourage an applicant from enrolling in any particular political party. 3. The Contractor shall communicate to applicants that the completion of voter registration forms is voluntary. 4. The Contractor and the Contractor’s employees shall not: a. seek to influence an applicant’s political preference or party designation; b. display any political preference or party allegiance; c. make any statement to an applicant or take any action the purpose or effect of which is to discourage the applicant from registering to vote; or d. make any statement to an applicant or take any action the purpose or effect of which is to lead the applicant to believe that a decision to register or not to register has any bearing on the availability of services or benefits.
