The publication of books, monographs, and contributions to edited books; papers in refereed journals; papers delivered at professional meetings; contract and/or applied research including interim and final reports; writing of sophisticated computer programs; creative and artistic works, productions, and performances; works or studies related to maintaining a high level of scholarship in a discipline; the designing, developing and conducting of major research projects; participating as a co-investigator in a major research project; participating actively in academic conventions, conferences, symposia, or research groups; scholarly participation as an editor or as a member of an editorial board of a journal or a scholarly publication; evaluating or refereeing the work of other scholars; serving on external grant selection committees; success in obtaining research funding; serving on a board, commission, council, or task force essentially by virtue of special academic competence or expertise; unpublished research and work in progress both supported and non-supported which have been submitted, refereed, and accepted for publication; published reviews of the applicant's scholarship.
