Common use of Residential and Non Residential Charges Clause in Contracts

Residential and Non Residential Charges. Charges for residential services will be amended each April as directed by the Department of Health new rates. In addition to this, charges can also be amended in light of increases to the cost of care. Charges per unit of care for non-residential care services will be set in accordance with the Council’s charging policy. Client contributions are based on the level of care a person requires and an assessment of their financial circumstances, including capital and income. The Trust will ensure that individual financial assessments are updated at least annually (but more frequently where the financial circumstances of an individual service user are known to have changed during the course of the year). Consequently the charges made to an individual may change in the course of a year if there are changes in their financial circumstance or the level of care they require. The Trust will ensure that all clients in receipt of a chargeable service receive a full welfare benefit check from the Finance and Benefits team and an individual financial assessment in person for new assessments where possible. There is no charge for Intermediate Care or Continuing Health Care services.
