Resignation Severance Clause Samples
The Resignation/Severance clause outlines the terms and conditions under which an employee may voluntarily leave their position and the compensation or benefits they are entitled to upon departure. Typically, this clause specifies the required notice period for resignation, any severance pay or benefits that may be provided, and the circumstances under which severance is granted, such as involuntary termination without cause. Its core practical function is to provide clarity and predictability for both the employer and employee regarding the process and consequences of ending the employment relationship, thereby reducing potential disputes and misunderstandings.
