Resignation with 60 Days of Start of School. In the event that a school Teacher shall submit his resignation during the school term, or within a period of sixty (60) days just previous to the beginning of the school term, and requests that the Board approve his/her resignation, the Board shall consider each such instance on its specific merit. In the event that the Board shall grant the request of the Teacher to resign pursuant to the authority given it under Section 24-14 of the School Code of the State of Illinois, such resignation shall not be deemed accepted until the Teacher has paid the Board of Education the sum of $100.00 to partially defray the Board’s expenses for the costs incurred in securing a replacement at such time.
