Response to Sexual Assaults. BPD will ensure that its policies and training on responding to reports of sexual assault are consistent with constitutional and legal requirements and the Parties will negotiate provisions to ensure that law enforcement actions do not reflect explicit or implicit gender bias, including in cases involving reports of sexual assault or coercion of sexual acts by BPD officers. BPD will ensure that all officers responsible for responding to and investigating sexual assault are provided with specialized training about sexual assault, including legal and constitutional standards for responding to and investigating reports of sexual assault, interviewing victims of sexual assault, and investigating reports of sexual assault or coercion of sexual acts by BPD officers.
