Responsibility for Other Public and Private Properties. The Contractor shall be responsible in connection with the performance of the Work to use reasonable precautions to prevent damage to all public and private property, monuments, telephone and other public utilities along and adjacent to the location of the Work. Contractor shall use every reasonable precaution to prevent damage to pipes, conduits and underground structures and shall cooperate with the owners of utility companies in the removal or relocations of their facilities in such a way that their operation is not interrupted. The time and labor for the relocation of these facilities shall be reduced to a minimum so that unnecessarily carefully protect all property limit monuments. Contractor shall notify the responsible person or agency, if these must moved or changed in any way, and shall not affect them until an authorized agent has referenced them and authorized their removal.
