Common use of Responsibility Pay – Charge Nurse Clause in Contracts

Responsibility Pay – Charge Nurse. (a) Effective date of ratification, whenever a nurse is assigned the responsibility in a clinic to direct, supervise or oversee work of other nurses, and/or auxiliary staff, she shall be paid a premium of one dollar and thirty cents ($1.30) per hour or portion thereof for such assignment in addition to her regular salary, provided that only one nurse shall be eligible to receive this kind of premium in any clinic at any one time. (b) Effective date of ratification, whenever a nurse is assigned the team leader responsibility at the Centre to direct, supervise or oversee work of other nurses, and/or auxiliary staff, she shall be paid a premium of one dollar and ten cents ($1.10) per hour or portion thereof for such assignment in addition to her regular salary, provided that only one nurse shall be eligible to receive this kind of premium at any one time.

(b) Effective date of ratification, whenever a nurse is assigned the team leader responsibility at the Centre to direct, supervise or oversee work of other nurses, and/or auxiliary staff, she shall be paid a premium of one dollar and ten sixty-five cents ($1.101.65) per hour or portion thereof for such assignment in addition to her regular salary, provided that only one nurse shall be eligible to receive this kind of premium at any one time.

(b) Effective date of ratification, whenever a nurse is assigned the team leader responsibility at the Centre to direct, supervise or oversee work of other nurses, and/or auxiliary staff, she shall be paid a premium of one dollar and ten forty cents ($1.101.40) per hour or portion thereof for such assignment in addition to her regular salary, provided that only one nurse shall be eligible to receive this kind of premium at any one time.

(b) Effective date of ratification, whenever a nurse is assigned the team leader responsibility at the Centre to direct, supervise or oversee work of other nurses, and/or auxiliary staff, she shall be paid a premium of one dollar and ten cents ($1.101.00) per hour or portion thereof for such assignment in addition to her regular salary, provided that only one nurse shall be eligible to receive this kind of premium at any one time.
