Common use of Restrictions on Expenditures Clause in Contracts

Restrictions on Expenditures. PATH funds may not be used for any of the following purposes: 1. To support emergency shelters or construction of housing facilities; 2. For inpatient psychiatric treatment costs or inpatient substance use disorder treatment costs; or 3. To make cash payments to intended recipients of mental health or substance use disorder services (42 U.S. Code § 290cc-22(g)). 4. For lease arrangements in association with the proposed project utilizing PATH funds beyond the project period nor may the portion of the space leased with PATH funds be used for purposes not supported by the grant.
