Resuming Employment Clause Samples
The Resuming Employment clause outlines the conditions and procedures under which an employee may return to work after a period of absence, such as leave or suspension. Typically, this clause specifies any requirements the employee must fulfill before resuming duties, such as providing medical clearance or notifying the employer within a certain timeframe. Resuming Employment. An employee who wishes to resume employment shall give their Department Head four (4) weeks notice in writing of the day on which the employee intends to resume employment. The Employer shall:
(a) reinstate the employee in the position occupied by the employee at the time parental leave commenced, or
(b) provide the employee with alternative work of a comparable nature, at not less than the same wages and other benefits that had accrued to the employee to the date that the employee commenced parental leave. The City of Lethbridge is not required to allow an employee to whom parental leave has been granted to resume employment until after the expiration of four (4) weeks from the day on which the employee notifies the Employer of their intention to resume employment.
