Return from Leave Without Pay. a. An employee on leave who wishes to resume employment with the District at the beginning of the work year, or at the beginning of the second semester, shall notify the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, in writing, no later than March 15 for the start of the work year and November 15th for the second half of the work year of the date he/she plans to return to work. If the employee does not request to return to work by the deadlines, or if they fail to return to work when scheduled, they shall be considered to have resigned their employment with the Novi Community Schools.
