Common use of Returned Rights Clause in Contracts

Returned Rights. In return for these rights, EPCI hereby grants to the above author(s), and the employers for whom the work was performed to: 2.1 Retain all proprietary rights other than publication rights in the PCNS Proceedings and EPCI website, such as patent rights. 2.2 Reuse all or portions of the above paper in other works. 2.3 Reproduce, or have reproduced, the above paper for the personal use of the author(s) or for the company use provided that (a) the meeting where the paper was presented is acknowledged; (b) the copies are not used in a way that implies EPCI endorsement of a product or service. 2.4 Make limited distribution of all or portions of the above prior to publication by EPCI. 2.5 In the case of work performed under government contract, EPCI grants the said government royalty-free permission to reproduce all or portions of the above paper and to authorise others to do so for the said government purposes.
