Common use of Reversion of Patent Maintenance Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Reversion of Patent Maintenance Responsibilities. Upon the effective date of the termination of this Agreement, the sole responsibility for preparing, filing, prosecuting and maintaining the Licensed Patents and the Licensed Technology will revert back to Lilly with no further notice or action required on Lilly’s behalf; provided, however, that if the termination relates only to a specific country, then only the patent maintenance obligations pertaining to such country will revert to Lilly hereunder. In such case, Licensee will maintain its patent responsibilities for all other Licensed Patents and Licensed Technology.
