REVIEW AND INSPECTION OF THE WORK. 2.4.1 The Construction Manager shall provide the Owner and the Consultant access to the Work at all times. The Construction Manager shall provide sufficient, safe and proper facilities at all times for the review of the Work by the Consultant and the inspection of the Work by authorized agencies. If parts of the Work are in preparation at locations other than the Place of the Work, the Owner and the Consultant shall be given access to such work whenever it is in progress. 2.4.2 If work is designated for tests, inspections or approvals in the Contract Documents, or by the Consultant’s instructions, or by the laws or ordinances of the Place of the Work, the Construction Manager shall give the Consultant reasonable notification of when the work will be ready for review and inspection. 2.3.7 Where standards of performance are specified and the Work does not comply with the specified standard of performance, the deficiency in the Work shall be corrected as directed by the Consultant. Subsequent testing to ensure that the standard of performance has been attained (including retesting by the Owner), shall be carried out at the Contractor’s expense and does not form part of the Cost of the Work.
