Common use of Review and Withholding Clause in Contracts

Review and Withholding. City's Project Manager will timely review and certify Payment Applications. a. If the Payment Application is rejected, the Project Manager will issue a written listing of the items not approved for payment. b. City may withhold an amount sufficient to pay expenses that City reasonably expects to incur in correcting the deficiency or deficiencies rejected for payment.
