Right of Discipline or Discharge. The City shall have the right to discharge or otherwise discipline any non-probationary employee for just cause as provided in Rule 8 of the City’s Personnel Rules. Probationary employees serve at the pleasure of the City, and the City shall not be required to demonstrate just cause to terminate probationary employees. The City shall comply with the Firefighters Procedural Bill of Rights Act, Government Code section 3250 et seq. with respect to all disciplinary matters.
