Common use of Right to Legislate Clause in Contracts

Right to Legislate. Nothing in the License Agreement shall prohibit, restrict or affect the right or power of the Parliament of Canada to enact any laws whatsoever with respect to any area of law for which the Parliament of Canada has legislative jurisdiction, even if the enactment of any such law affects the License Agreement, its interpretation, or the rights, obligations, liabilities, vested or not, accrued or accruing, of the Parties.
