Future Legislation. In the event that any future legislation renders null and void or materially alters any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement, and the parties hereto shall negotiate a mutually agreeable provision to be substituted for the provision so rendered null and void or materially altered.

Future Legislation. In the event that present or future legislation renders null and void or materially alters any provision of this Collective Agreement, the following shall apply: (a) The remaining provisions of the Collective Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the Collective Agreement. (b) The Employer and the Association shall, as soon as possible negotiate mutually agreeable provisions to be substituted for the provisions so rendered null and void or materially altered. (c) If a mutual agreement cannot be struck as provided in (b) above, the matter shall be arbitrated pursuant to Article 11 of the Collective Agreement.
Future Legislation. In the event that any law passed by Parliament or the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly renders null and void or alters any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions of the Agreement shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement. When this occurs the Collective Agreement shall be re-opened upon the request of either party and negotiations shall commence with a view to finding an appropriate substitute for the annulled or altered provision.
Future Legislation. If any article, section, paragraph, clause or phrase of this Agreement is declared or held illegal, void or unenforceable by provincial, federal or other law, or by decision of any court, the remaining portions of this Agreement shall continue to be valid and in full force and effect and the parties shall immediately meet to review the effect of such change to this Collective Agreement and if necessary attempt to resolve the differences created by such change.

In the event any future legislation materially alters the intent of any clause in this Agreement, either party may request consultation with a view to seeking an amendment or clarification of the clause.
