Common use of Rights as a Citizen Clause in Contracts

Rights as a Citizen. The Board recognizes the right of the individual faculty member to speak or write as a citizen, to engage in community affairs and political activities and to express opinions free from institutional censorship or discipline, provided, however, that any such faculty member take such steps as are appropriate so as not to indicate that the faculty member is acting or speaking on behalf of the institution.
