Common use of Rights of Agents, Subcustodians and Nominees Clause in Contracts

Rights of Agents, Subcustodians and Nominees. For greater certainty, any rights, powers, authorities, benefits, and limitations on liability or responsibility whatsoever granted to the Custodian under this Agreement or conferred upon the Custodian otherwise at law shall be deemed to have been granted to any and all nominees, Agents and subcustodians duly appointed by the Custodian, and in furtherance thereof, any references to “the Custodian” herein shall be construed as references to such nominees, Agents or subcustodians, as the context requires.
