Common use of Rights Provided by Law Clause in Contracts

Rights Provided by Law. The parties recognize that bargaining unit members enjoy all rights provided to them by law and that this Agreement shall be interpreted and applied in a manner consistent with the law. If a bargaining unit member brings a claim against the Board in any judicial or administrative forum alleging a violation of that individual's legal rights, any proceedings related to those claims shall not be denied through the Grievance Procedure in this Agreement.
