Roles and Duties of the COMPANY, WSMC and its Covered Entities. The COMPANY grants to WSMC, as well as each Covered Entity, the authority to designate Covered Vessels hereunder, to mobilize MSRC for a spill response or other emergency response and to perform the other obligations of the COMPANY hereunder during any such response, to receive and provide notices for the COMPANY hereunder, and to act for the COMPANY in all other respects hereunder. In the event of a conflict between the exercise of any rights under this Agreement by the COMPANY, WSMC or a Covered Entity, the exercise by the COMPANY controls.
