The ROOM PREPARATION clause outlines the responsibilities and standards for preparing a room prior to its use or occupancy. Typically, this clause specifies the condition in which the room must be delivered, such as cleanliness, functionality of fixtures, and readiness for the intended purpose, and may assign responsibility for setup or inspection to a particular party. Its core practical function is to ensure that the room meets agreed-upon standards before use, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring a satisfactory experience for the occupant or user.
ROOM PREPARATION. Teachers who complete room preparation will receive 1 day of pay at the current substitute rate.
ROOM PREPARATION. Prior to backpack night, teachers will receive one full day for readying classrooms, making and putting up bulletin boards, securing textbooks and supplies and making lesson plan preparations for the first week of school. Also, staff members may come in one week before the school year begins, without compensation, to work in their classrooms during regular school hours.

It is the responsibility of the client: • To remove valuable and/or fragile items from the areas to be decorated • To remove electrical goods from the areas where works will be carried out • To move all large bulky items, that can not easily be removed from the room, to the centre of the room • Remove all curtain and blinds • To remove pictures and other items hanging from the wall, including all fixings. • To remove all door furniture • To unscrew Light switches/plug sockets/ceiling roses/spotlights Assistance can be provided with the repositioning and/or removal of bulky furniture items and goods, though please make BELLE decorating aware of any assistance required ahead of work commencing. We reserve the right to decline to move goods if the condition is at risk of damage to the equipment or the property. We reserve the right to decline to move particularly heavy or bulky items if they present a higher than accepted health and safety risk. Room left in a condition where decoration can not take place, BELLE decorating will discuss this with the client so a suitable arrangement can be made; one of the solutions being a charge for BELLE decorating’s time to empty the room.
ROOM PREPARATION. Rooms will be cleaned and prepared for teachers’ occupation at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the first student calendar day. At the close of the school year, the teachers may leave as soon as they have completed all end of the year assignments, including room cleanup. Check-in and check-out procedures will be developed by building administrators and teachers.
