Rules of Document Interpretation. 1.2.3.1 If Contractor observes that Drawings and Specifications are in conflict, Contractor shall, prior to commencing work, notify the Architect in writing for the purposes of obtaining an interpretation of the Contact Documents. 1.2.3.2 In the case of conflict or inconsistencies, the order of precedence shall be as follows: a. General Conditions take precedence over Drawings and Specifications. b. Supplemental Conditions and Special Conditions take precedence over General Conditions. c. The Agreement Form shall take precedence over the Supplemental Conditions and Special Conditions. d. In the case of disagreement or conflict between or within Specifications, and Drawings, the more stringent, higher quality, and greater quantity of Work shall apply. e. Addenda shall take precedence over Drawings and Specifications. f. General Conditions shall take precedence over Addenda. g. Drawings and Specifications take precedence over the Soils Report.
