Salary Raise Requirement and Exception. A teacher rated ineffective or improvement necessary under IC 20- 28-11.5 in a prior year may not receive any raise or performance bonus for the following year if the teacher's employment contract is continued. Teachers in their first two (2) full years of instructing students are exempt from the evaluation rating eligibility requirement and are eligible for a salary increase regardless of their evaluation rating in the prior school year.
