Common use of Saturday, Sunday or Legal Holiday Clause in Contracts

Saturday, Sunday or Legal Holiday. If any date set forth in this Contract for the performance of any obligation by Purchaser or Seller or for the delivery of any instrument or notice should be on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, then the compliance with such obligations or delivery shall be deemed acceptable on the next business day following such Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. For purposes of this Section, “legal holiday” shall mean any state or federal holiday for which financial institutions or post offices are generally closed in Harris County, Texas, for the observance thereof.
