Scan TSPC. To run the Scan TSPC function: • Select the chart time interval manually, 30-min or daily. Mechanical settings are used for swing/position trading only. Multiple year data is recommended for selecting the TSPC/DEV. If you trade market with intervals smaller than 30-minte, you don’t need to scan TSPC. Please just use default settings for the hybrid trading method(for any intervals, including very small intervals, e.g. 1- 5 minute charts) • From the "Format Trading Signal for Active Chart" dialog box, click "Reset to eASCTrend Defaults" button. The default values of TSPC = 4 and Deviation = 0.0 will appear. • Input ContractSize (typically 1 contract for futures or 1000 shares for stocks), PointValue (typically 250 for the S&P or 1 for stocks) and CostPerTrade (such as commission plus slippage, $100 etc). Do not leave CostPerTrade at zero. • Apply all the exit rules(see below). • Now you are ready to run Scan TSPC. Click the "$" icon (Scan TSPC icon) and the program will automatically calculate the most profitable TSPC for the dates you have selected. After the calculation the software will automatically input the suggested TSPC value for you. • The Mini Report will display the result summary for your review. Best DEV The "Best DEV" function will auto-select the best pair of integers for DEV and TSPC for the most profitable result. To use the Best DEV function, check the box of "Best DEV", input start, end and step values for DEV routine (or use the default values of start –0.5, end 1.2 and step 0.1), then click the "$" icon. Notice that you may change the start, end and step values to your preferences. The system will run to find the best pair (combination) of DEV and TSPC for the most profitable results. It is a two dimensional process that will find the highest performance peak among many peaks. The Mini Report will display the best result, and the best TSPC and DEV will be input directly into the Format dialog box. This is only applicable if the chart intervals are 30 minutes or above. It is recommended that a trader uses longer term data such as multiple years.
