Scholarly Endeavours Sample Clauses

The 'Scholarly Endeavours' clause defines the rights and responsibilities of parties regarding academic or research-related activities conducted under an agreement. Typically, it outlines how research findings, publications, and intellectual property generated during the course of the project will be managed, including requirements for attribution, publication approval processes, or data sharing. This clause ensures that both parties understand their roles in supporting academic work while protecting sensitive information and intellectual property, thereby balancing the pursuit of knowledge with contractual obligations.
Scholarly Endeavours. Scholarly endeavours include the right and responsibility to conduct research, scholarship, and critical, creative, professional or developmental work; the dissemination of such work through publication, demonstration, presentation, exhibition or performance, or by other means appropriate to the discipline. Other activities, as specified in Article E2.2.1, including service as an editor, or review of papers for scholarly journals or conferences, and administrative roles in scholarly organizations would also be regarded as scholarly endeavours.
