SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. School staff representatives, elected in accordance with Union procedures, shall have the right to: a. convene meetings to conduct Union business and be involved in matters of staff concern, including teacher-teaching-on-call concerns, provided such activities do not interfere with classroom instruction. b. be involved in grievance meetings. c. attend meetings between Administrative Officers and teachers pursuant to Article A.26
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. School staff representatives elected in accordance with Association procedures shall have the right to: a. Upon the request of the employees or Association, the school staff representative shall be relieved of instructional and supervisory duties without loss of pay to attend grievance meetings with Board representatives. b. It is recognized that: i. all such meetings shall be conducted, whenever possible, outside normal instructional time; and ii. there are some situations that will need to be dealt with during normal instructional time.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. School Staff Representatives, elected in accordance with Association procedures, shall have the right to convene staff meetings in the school, outside of regular instructional hours, to conduct Association business. School Staff Representatives shall have the right to represent the interests of the Association to school administration. A list of all School Staff Representatives shall be provided to the Board annually by the 30th of September. Any changes to the list during the school year shall be provided to the Board as soon as they are known.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES a. Representatives of the BVTU of each school shall have the right to: i. convene Union meetings in the school to conduct Union business provided such meetings are held out-of-school time; ii. investigate or participate in solving a grievance or arbitration; iii. be present upon request at a meeting between a member and a Principal/Vice-Principal or Board official. If a Principal/Vice- Principal or Board official requests the meeting during school hours, the member will not lose any pay. If such a meeting involves the disciplining of an employee, a representative of the BVTU must be present.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. A. 29.1 At the beginning of each school year, Surrey Teachers’ Association members in each workplace shall elect a staff representative(s) in accordance with Surrey Teachers’ Association practices.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. The Employer shall recognize a Staff Representative(s) in each school, elected in accordance with the Union's procedures to carry out the duties of investigating and settling teacher employer disputes within the school and to participate in grievance resolution in the school as required. 2. The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the name of each staff representative(s). 3. Staff representatives shall have the right to convene meetings in the school to conduct Union business provided that they follow the District's existing booking practices and that the meetings do not interfere with scheduled activities or teacher duties. 4. Staff representatives shall arrange to conduct grievance investigations in such a manner as not to disrupt classroom or other instruction and shall not normally be granted leave from instructional duties for this purpose. 5. When requested by a teacher or the Employer, a staff representative shall be relieved of instructional duties without loss of pay to attend any meeting involving the teacher and the Employer concerning any grievance or dispute.

SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. School staff representatives elected in accordance with local Union procedures shall have the right to: 1. Be relieved of all supervisory duties, subject to a majority vote of the school staff committee. 2. Convene staff meetings in the school to conduct Union business subject to Article A.25. (Access to Worksite) 3. Upon request of the Union and the teacher in question: a. be relieved of teaching duties to be present at personnel related meetings between an Administrative Officer of the District and that teacher. It is understood that such meetings whenever possible shall be held outside instructional time; b. be relieved of instructional duties in order to participate in a formal grievance step or arbitration hearing. 4. Any TTOC costs arising from the release of the staff representative from instructional duties shall be borne by the party (either the Union or the Board) who initiated the request for release.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. The Association school staff representative(s) shall have the right to represent the interests of the Association to the school administration and shall: a. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay, to be present, when required, at any meeting between an administrator and an employee in the school district; b. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay in order to investigate or participate in grievances or arbitration; and c. have access to clerical staff support. 2. The Association shall provide to the Board, upon request, a list of all school staff representatives and chief staff representatives at each work location.
SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. School Staff Representatives, elected in accordance with Association procedures, shall be relieved of duties with no loss of pay as follows: 1. one representative will be allowed, where requested by a teacher, to be present at a meeting held for disciplinary purposes called by a Principal/Vice Principal regarding a teacher in the school or district, and 2. one representative will be allowed to participate in a grievance if called to appear by the Joint Grievance Committee.
