Common use of Second Formal Step Clause in Contracts

Second Formal Step. If the grievance is not settled in the first formal step, the grievant may present the grievance to the Superintendent no later than five (5) days after the written decision of the immediate supervisor and Director has been received by the grievant(s). Within five (5) days after receipt of the written grievance, the Superintendent shall meet with the grievant(s) to attempt to resolve the grievance. The Superintendent shall give a written answer to the grievant(s) within five (5) days after this meeting with a copy to the Association President.
