Common use of Secondment to Fire Services Academy Clause in Contracts

Secondment to Fire Services Academy. In the event the Fire Services Academy, Justice Institute of British Columbia, requests the services of an employee, the Employer, the Union and the employee shall provide support in facilitating such request within the following terms and conditions: (a) The Employer shall grant the employee detached duty leave for a period of two (2) years, subject to being extended one (1) additional year, at the mutual agreement of the Employer, the Academy and the employee. (b) During the employee's service with the Academy, the employee shall maintain and accumulate seniority as though the employee had remained in full-time service with the Employer.
