Section 10.6.3. 9 For purposes of overtime work, the employee with the greatest seniority shall be given the first 10 opportunity to perform the work. If no employee accepts the overtime work, the District shall 11 assign the overtime work based on reverse seniority order.
Section 10.6.3. 13 When the District determines that temporary help is needed to perform additional duties, e.g., 14 additional summer custodians, maintenance, etc., such positions will be posted pursuant to 15 Section 10.8. 17 Employees within the same general job classification as the temporary summer work will have 18 preferential rights as specified in Section 10.6.2 for such positions. 20 Employees not in the same general job classification as the temporary summer work will be 21 considered by the District before employing individuals not in the bargaining unit. However, 22 selection from employees who do not enjoy seniority within the required general job 23 classification shall be exclusively District responsibility.
Section 10.6.3. 44 Employees selected for an additional part-time position in another general job classification 45 shall be considered new hires in that position.
Section 10.6.3. 40 The above section shall not supersede the right of management to hire applicants outside the 41 District when there are no longer any employees in the bargaining unit or recall pool who 42 possess the training and/or experience for the position or possess skills required for the 43 available position. 44

Section 10.6.3. 35 In the event an employee is summoned to serve as a juror, such employee shall receive a normal 36 day’s shift pay for each day of actual presence in court.
