Common use of Section 4 – Rest Periods Clause in Contracts

Section 4 – Rest Periods. It is recognized that the regular scheduling of rest and meal breaks may occasionally be impossible. Communications Center Operators may utilize two (2) fifteen (15) minute break periods per eight hour shift, either taken separately or collectively as approved by their supervisor or the police shift supervisor. Rest or meal breaks may be eliminated without notice due to emergency situations or critical incidents.
