Section 8.1.4. Worked Holidays. 34 Employees who are required to work on the above-described holidays shall receive the pay due 35 them for the holiday, plus their base rate for all hours worked on such holidays.

Section 8.1.4.   • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Substitute Holidays The Appointing Authority may, after consultation with the Association, designate alternate days for the observance of Veterans Day and Presidents' Day.
