Common use of Securing the Premises Clause in Contracts

Securing the Premises. Each tenant shall see that the exterior doors of its premises are closed and securely locked when not in use and at all times described in the first sentence of Rule and Regulation No. 2 above. Each tenant shall keep its corridor doors closed except for normal ingress and egress to and from its premises. Each tenant shall exercise extraordinary care and caution that all water faucets or water apparatus (if available) are entirely shut off each day before its premises are left unoccupied and that all electricity or gas shall likewise be carefully shut off so as to prevent waste of such utility or possible property damage or injury to Landlord's janitor or other employees or representatives or to other occupants of the building. Tenant will be liable for all damage or injuries sustained by other tenants or occupants of the Building or Landlord resulting from Tenant’s carelessness in this regard or violation of this rule. Tenant will keep the doors to the Building corridors closed at all times except for ingress and egress.
