Common use of Security in the Workplace Clause in Contracts

Security in the Workplace. The Employer shall provide a secure workplace and shall take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of employees in, and in the vicinity of, the workplace. By mutual agreement such precautions shall include, but not be limited to, one or more of the following: transportation; ensuring the presence of at least one other person on the premises for mutual protection; a "panic button" in the workplace with which to summon assistance, in the event that protective backup may be out of visual contact; and personal alarm devices, where indicated in one-person sites, to provide security to and from the building.
