Senior Operator. Points of Entry • Waterwheel Industries Employee Level 4 with proven and demonstrated skills to the standard required of this level including as appropriate, industry certification (Trades equivalent). • Tradesperson, qualified.
Senior Operator. To gain the senior operator level an operator would need any two of the four certificates or eight (8) scattered skills from anywhere within the plant. ▪ Wet End ▪ Dry End ▪ Mill ▪ Warehouse [refer clause 21(b)]. Operators who moved either before or after gaining a certificate into another area would advance on aggregate skills as per the existing system. An operator shall obtain 6 skills before progressing to level 7 and 8 skills before progressing to Senior Operator. From November 1998 an employee cannot progress beyond Level 5 on ‘competency units. No employee shall suffer a reduction in classification as a result of this change
Senior Operator. This grade applies to an Adult Employee who has been deemed by the Employer to possess significant competencies in one or more manufacturing areas and has the ability to supervise and verify the work of other employees in any major task for which competency has been gained Supervisor This grade applies to an Adult Employee who is appointed by the Employer to direct, supervise, and verify the work of all other Employees as relevant to one or more manufacturing areas.
Senior Operator. When two or more Operators are on a shift without the supervision of a shift manager, one of the operators will be assigned the shift and designated as the Senior operator. The senior operator will work as an Operator and provide general supervision to the operating personnel with whom they are working to ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently and expeditiously.
