Settled Defendants means Sample Clauses
The "Settled Defendants" clause defines which parties in a legal action have reached a settlement agreement, thereby resolving their disputes with the plaintiff outside of court. In practice, this clause typically lists or refers to specific defendants who have negotiated terms to exit the litigation, often in exchange for payment or other considerations. Its core function is to clearly identify which defendants are no longer subject to ongoing claims, ensuring clarity for all parties and the court regarding the status of the litigation.
Settled Defendants means. (a) TEAC Corporation, TEAC America, Inc., and TEAC Canada, Ltd.;
(b) NEC Corporation and NEC Canada, Inc.;
(c) Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Inc., Hitachi-LG Data Storage Korea, Inc., Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Canada, Ltd., Hitachi America Ltd., LG Electronics Inc., LG Electronics Canada, Inc., and LG Electronics USA, Inc.;
(d) Sony Corporation, Sony Optiarc Inc., Sony Optiarc America Inc., Sony Electronics Inc., Sony Corporation of America, Sony NEC Optiarc Inc., and Sony of Canada Ltd.;
Settled Defendants means. (a) Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. and Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.; and
(b) any Defendant that has entered into a settlement agreement with the Plaintiffs in the Proceedings and whose settlement agreement becomes effective in accordance with its terms, whether or not such settlement agreement is in existence at the Date of Execution.
Settled Defendants means. (a) subject to approval of the Courts, TEAC Corporation, TEAC America, Inc., TEAC Canada, Ltd., NEC Corporation, NEC Canada, Inc. Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Inc., Hitachi-LG Data Storage Korea, Inc., Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Canada, Ltd., Hitachi America Ltd., LG Electronics Inc., LG Electronics Canada, Inc., and LG Electronics USA, Inc.; and
(b) any Defendant that executes its own settlement agreement whether before or after this Settlement Agreement, which settlement agreement is finally approved by the necessary Courts and becomes effective in accordance with its terms.
Settled Defendants means. (a) TEAC Corporation, TEAC America, Inc. TEAC Canada, Ltd., NEC Corporation, NEC Canada, Inc., Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Inc., Hitachi-LG Data Storage Korea, Inc., Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Canada, Ltd., Hitachi America Ltd., LG Electronics Inc., LG Electronics Canada, Inc., and LG Electronics USA, Inc.;
(b) Sony Corporation, Sony Optiarc Inc., Sony Optiarc America Inc., Sony Electronics Inc., Sony Corporation of America, Sony NEC Optiarc Inc., and Sony of Canada Ltd., provided their settlement agreement is finally approved by the necessary Courts and becomes effective in accordance with its terms; and
(c) any Defendant that executes its own settlement agreement whether before or after the execution of this Settlement Agreement, which settlement agreement is finally approved by the necessary Courts and becomes effective in accordance with its terms.
Settled Defendants means. (a) Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., SEWS Canada Ltd., Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd., Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. and Sumitomo Wiring Systems (U.S.A.), Inc.;
(b) Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. and Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.; and
(c) any Defendant that has entered into a settlement agreement with the Plaintiffs in the Proceedings and whose settlement agreement becomes effective in accordance with its terms, whether or not such settlement agreement is in existence at the Date of Execution.
Settled Defendants means. (a) TEAC Corporation, TEAC America, Inc. and TEAC Canada, Ltd.; and
(b) any Defendant that executes its own settlement agreement before or after the execution of this Settlement Agreement, which settlement agreement is finally approved by the necessary Courts.

(b) ZF Friedrichshafen AG, TRW Automotive GmbH, TRW Vehicle Safety Systems Inc., ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇ Company, TRW Canada Limited, and ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇ Canada Limited.
