Settlement of historical claims. 4.1 The deed of settlement is to provide that, on and from the settlement date - 4.1.1 the historical claims of the Hapū are settled; and 4.1.2 the Crown is released and discharged from all obligations and liabilities in respect of the historical claims; and 4.1.3 the settlement is final. 4.2 The terms of the settlement provided in the deed of settlement are to be – 4.2.1 those in schedule 2; and 4.2.2 any additional terms agreed by the parties.
