Common use of Severability and Modifications Clause in Contracts

Severability and Modifications. a) If any part of this Agreement is unenforceable, but would be enforceable if appropriately modified, then the provision will apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it valid. b) If any part of this Agreement is unenforceable and cannot be modified, the remaining portion of this Agreement will continue in a manner that is consistent with the intentions of the parties.
