Common use of Severability of Interests and Cross Liability Required Clause in Contracts

Severability of Interests and Cross Liability Required. Each specified insurance policy (other than Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability and Property coverages) shall contain a Severability of Interest and Cross Liability clause which states, "It is agreed that the insurance afforded by this policy shall apply separately to each insured against whom claim is made or suit is brought except with respect to the limits of the company's liability," and a Contractual Liability Endorsement which shall state, "Such insurance as is afforded by this policy shall also apply to liability assumed by the insured under this Agreement with the City of Los Angeles."
