Common use of Severability, Waiver, and Effectiveness Clause in Contracts

Severability, Waiver, and Effectiveness. If any provision of this Brokerage Agreement is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable by reason of any law, rule, administrative order, or judicial decision, that determination will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Brokerage Agreement. Except as specifically permitted in this Brokerage Agreement, no provision of the Brokerage Agreement can be, nor will it be deemed to be, waived, altered, modified, or amended unless agreed to in writing signed by an authorized officer of Betterment Securities.
