SFA as Additional Insured Clause Samples

The "SFA as Additional Insured" clause designates the SFA (School Food Authority) as an additional insured party under another party’s insurance policy, typically that of a contractor or vendor. This means that the SFA receives coverage and protection from the contractor’s insurance for claims arising out of the contractor’s work or services performed for the SFA. For example, if a vendor is providing food services and an incident occurs resulting in a liability claim, the SFA would be covered under the vendor’s policy. The core function of this clause is to extend insurance protection to the SFA, thereby reducing its exposure to risks and liabilities associated with the contractor’s operations.
