Shift Premium Pay. (A) A member who is scheduled to work on the Compressed Work Week Schedule, as set out in Schedule D of this agreement, shall receive a $375 per annum shift premium.
(B) A member, not covered by paragraph (A), who is scheduled to work on a schedule which includes shifts with varying start times shall receive a $225 per annum shift premium. Shifts with varying start times are defined as shift schedules which include start times after 11:00 a.m.
(C) If a member is scheduled to work a shift schedule set out in paragraphs (A) or (B) for less than a full calendar year, he or she shall receive a pro rata amount for the actual amount of time he or she was scheduled to work on the applicable shift rotation.
(D) Any shift premium pay owing to a member in accordance with paragraphs (A) or
Shift Premium Pay. 12.1 Any unit member who works 50% or more of their regular shift after 5:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of one hundred ($100) per month.
Shift Premium Pay. 23.1: The Civil Service Commission shall define the working hours of the midnight and afternoon shifts, and shall designate the classifications to receive shift premium pay. The premium rates paid shall be as follows: Employees in designated classifications set forth in Section 23.4 of this Article shall receive an additional forty cents (.40) per hour for afternoons, and forty cents (.40) per hour for midnights in addition to the base rate of compensation.
23.2: Employees in designated classifications who are regularly assigned on an afternoon or midnight shift shall be paid the premium rate for such shift when off on vacation, sick leave, personal business, or any other paid leave. However, employees who are on sick leave for more than fifteen
Shift Premium Pay. 27.1 If a member works a full calendar year on a three (3) shift rotation he shall receive $200.00 per annum shift premium pay. If a member works a full calendar year on a two (2) shift rotation he shall receive $100.00 per annum shift premium pay.
27.2 If a member works less than a full calendar year on either a three (3) or a two (2) shift rotation he shall receive a pro rata amount for the actual amount of time worked on the applicable shift rotation.
27.3 Any shift premium pay owing to a member, in accordance with Sections 27.1 or 27.2 shall be paid to the member by December 31st of each calendar year.
27.4 The payment of any shift premium pay shall be in addition to a member's salary but shall not be included for the purpose of calculating overtime pay rates.
Shift Premium Pay. Employees shall be entitled to shift premium pay as follows:
(a) Shift Start Time Between 4:00 A.M. And 11:59 A.M., Inclusive
(b) Shift Start Time Between 12:00 P.M. (Noon) And 5:59 P.M., Inclusive
(c) Shift Start Time Between 6:00 P.M. And 3:59 A.M., Inclusive
Shift Premium Pay. An employee working within classifications in the bargaining unit identified in Appendix A of this Agreement who is scheduled to work not less than four (4) hours of his/her regular work shift during the evening (swing) shift or night (graveyard) shift shall be paid the following shift premium pay for all scheduled hours worked during such shift: $0.35 per hour $0.45 per hour Effective January 1, 2008, the shift premium pay for swing shift will increase from $0.35/hr to $0.70/hr and the shift premium pay for graveyard shift will increase from $0.45/hr to $0.80/hr. The shift premiums shall apply to time worked as opposed to time off with pay and therefore, for example, the premium shall not apply to sick leave, vacation, holiday pay and other forms of paid time off. Employees who work one of the shifts for which a premium is paid, and who are required to work overtime, shall not have the shift premium included as part of the base hourly rate for purposes of computing the contractual overtime rate. Shift differential shall be paid only outside of the established Day shift work schedule.
Shift Premium Pay. (a) In addition to the employee’s regular wage rate, a shift premium shall be paid for work performed in the job classifications agreed to. The shift premium rates shall be: Day Shift no shift premium Evening Shift 75 cents per hour Night Shift $1.00 per hour 12 hour Night Shift -- $1.17 per hour
(b) The day shift is that shift in which 50 percent or more of the regularly scheduled work hours fall between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
(c) The evening shift is that shift in which 50 percent or more of the regularly scheduled work hours fall between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
(d) The night shift is that shift in which 50 percent or more of the regularly scheduled work hours fall between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The 12 hour night shift is the shift in which 50 percent or more of the regularly scheduled hours fall between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
(e) Employees classified as shift workers will receive the added shift premium for the scheduled hours worked in the evening or night shift. Employees classified as day workers and who receive overtime pay for hours worked before, after, or outside of their regular day schedule, even though the hours fall into evening or night shifts as defined in paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) above, are not eligible for shift premium additives.
(f) Shift workers who work overtime outside of their regularly scheduled shift shall receive the applicable shift premium in addition to any applicable overtime premium pay on the base rate and shift premium rate.
(g) Day workers on a variable schedule in certain job classifications agreed to will routinely, or upon request with due advance notice, work outside of the day shift at straight-time pay and be paid the applicable premium as herein provided.
(1) For the purpose of this Section, due advance notice shall be 24 hours prior to the start of the revised work schedule. Shift schedules will be for a minimum of 8-1/2 continuous hours and, where practical, will conform with the framework of an existing shift, including a one-half hour unpaid meal break as permitted by production and operational or personnel requirements at the time. Employees will normally not be required to remain on the revised shift when the work which gave rise to the change is completed.
(2) A day worker on a variable schedule shall be paid time and one-half for the hours worked up to 8 hours on the first day required to work on a revised schedule when due advance notice is given, and double time for hours worked up to 8 hours on ...
Shift Premium Pay. SECTION 1. Shift premium pay is defined as premium pay based on scheduled hours worked. Employees regularly assigned to shifts starting between the hours of 1400 and 0300 shall receive shift premium as provided herein.
SECTION 2. All employees who work a regularly scheduled shift, which meet the above conditions are eligible. A regular schedule is any shift which is repeatedly and routinely scheduled by the department, in advance, as the normal course of work for employees. Neither employees nor the department may reschedule employees for the sole purpose of qualifying for shift premium.
SECTION 3. Payment shall be $1.05 per hour (one and a half x $0.70) for the hours of premium work per week. Payment for leave time shall be at the employee's regular rate of pay and shall not include any shift premium pay. Payment shall be to employees actually working the premium shift.
SECTION 4. Employees who are assigned to an irregular work schedule shall also be eligible for shift premium pay for shifts which meet the eligibility requirements of this Section.
SECTION 5. During the term of this Agreement the Authority and the Union may discuss modifications to this section. Should an agreement be reached to modify ARTICLE 29 (Shift Premium Pay), it will be implemented at a time mutually agreeable to both parties.
Shift Premium Pay. Employees required to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays, as part of their normal work week, shall receive an additional $.30 per hour shift differential for all hours worked, and employees who are regularly scheduled to work a shift which extends beyond 5:00 p.m., any day of the week, shall receive the shift differential premium for the entire shift.
Shift Premium Pay. Employees who work the second (evening) shift shall be paid a premium of seventy-five cents ($0.75) per hour. Employees who work third (night) shift shall be paid a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour.
