Rest Day. 5.1 The Worker will be entitled to one day rest in each week. 5.2 In the event the Worker is requested to work on his rest day, he shall be paid in accordance with the labour laws in Malaysia.

Rest Day. (1) Every staff shall be entitled to 1 rest day which is without pay per week. (2) The weekly rest day for a staff engaged in shift work shall be determined by the duty roster drawn up in accordance to the operational needs of the Institution. Staff shall be informed of the roster in advance. (3) A staff who works on her rest day at the request of the Institution shall be paid in accordance with the Employment Act as follows: (a) If the period of work does not exceed half her normal hours of work, a sum at the basic rate of pay for 1 day’s work; (b) If the period of work is more than half but does not exceed her normal hours of work, a sum at the basic rate of pay for 2 days’ work; (c) If the period of work exceeds her normal hours of work for 1 day: (i) A sum at the basic rate of pay for 2 days’ work, and (ii) A sum at the rate of not less than 1.5 times her hourly basic rate of pay, for each hour or part thereof that the period of work exceeds her normal hours of work for 1 day. (4) In computing the hourly/daily basic rate of pay, where the staff’s total monthly salary exceeds $3,000, and she is not covered by Part IV of the Employment Act, the hourly/daily basic rate of pay shall be based on a total monthly salary of $3,000.
Rest Day. An Employee required to work a shift outside of their ordinary hours must be afforded a rest day after the shift. Rest days must be paid regardless of where the shift falls during the seven day week. Rest days shall be paid on the basis of eight hours per day at the ordinary rate, and shall be regarded as hours worked for RDO and leave accrual, and continuity of service. Where an employee is required to work less than five consecutive shifts of out of normal spread of hours work (excluding RDOs and Public Holidays, employees must be afforded an eight hours paid rest day prior to commencing work on their first shift. This provision will also apply to casual Employees doing shiftwork.
Rest Day. In the establishment of the regular work week schedule, the Employer shall ensure that full-time employees are assigned by seniority two (2) rest days off for said work week, which as far as practicable shall be consecutive. The provision of this clause shall not apply to employees of the Banquet Department, except Banquet Housepersons.

Rest Day. If and when an employee is required to work on a rest day, he shall be paid not less than one (1) day's salary for work up to half the normal daily working hours; or two (2) days' salary for work exceeding half and up to the normal hours of work on that day, the rate of payment shall be at a rate of one and a half times for the number of hours of work in excess of the normal hours of work.

Rest Day. (a) Employees working the hours prescribed by clause 9.1 shall be allowed 4 rest days (rostered days off) during each 14 days. Each rostered day off shall consist of a continuous period of 24 hours, which where practicable shall include from midnight to midnight. (b) All full-time and part-time employees' rosters will provide for any one of the following combinations of days free from rostered work in each fortnight: (i) 2 periods comprising 2 days each; (ii) 3 consecutive days and one stand-alone day; or (iii) one period of 4 consecutive days: Provided that any one of these combinations may be amended to enable 2 single days free from rostered work if requested in writing by the employee: Provided further that where agreement under clause 9.1.5 has been reached, employees shall be allowed additional rest days in accordance with the rostered hours of duty for the particular fortnight.
Rest Day. 22.1 Every Officer shall be allowed in each week a rest day. Such a rest day shall be either Sunday or Friday of the week as applicable to each state.
