Shift, Workday and Workweek. a) The shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of work plus one (1) unpaid one-half (½) hour meal period. b) The workday is a fixed and regularly recurring period of twenty-four (24) consecutive hours and begins at 12:01 a.m. each calendar day. c) The workweek is a fixed and regularly recurring period of one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours – seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods – beginning at 12:01 a.m., Sunday. The full-time work schedule in the workweek shall consist of one (1) eight (8) hour shift during each five (5) days and shall not exceed forty (40) hours of work.
