Under Mainland China laws, rules and regulations, the “short swing profit rule” requires you to return any profits made from purchases and sales in respect of China Connect Securities of a Mainland China Listco ifif (a) your shareholding in the Mainland China Listco exceeds the threshold prescribed by the relevant China Connect Authority from time to time; and (b) the corresponding sale transaction occurs within the six months after a purchase transaction, or vice versa.
