Common use of Sick Leave and Family Responsibility Leave Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave and Family Responsibility Leave. A Graduate Assistant may be absent without loss of pay or benefits for up to two (2) days per semester, because of illness or family responsibilities. In such cases the Graduate Assistant shall make every reasonable effort to arrange an exchange or substitution for his or her scheduled duties acceptable to the Supervisor. Where this is not possible, the Supervisor shall make such arrangements. The Graduate Assistant will notify the Supervisor in advance with as much notice as possible of any absence.
