SICK LEAVE / Medical Certificates and Reporting. 10.1 Sick leave benefits are sponsored by the Employer and will be granted with pay for the purpose of obtaining necessary medical or dental treatment or on account of injury, illness or disability to the extent hereinafter provided. 10.1.1. In the first (1) year of employment with the Employer, the teacher shall be entitled to statutory sick leave. Should sick leave exceed the number of days of sick leave entitlement, any salary adjustment required shall be made on the last cheque issued to the teacher for the current school year.
