Sick Pay Defined. Eligible sick leave hours shall be considered the average number of hours of work the employee is usually scheduled and shall be compensated on an “hours worked” basis. Hours worked for the purpose of this section shall be the hours paid for regular time, sick leave, holidays, vacations, but excluding overtime hours. Employees who failed to work the full year shall be entitled to sick leave on the basis set forth above on a pro rata of total hours worked or paid for during the year preceding the anniversary date as a ratio to two thousand eighty (2,080) hours. If a holiday occurs during a period of paid sick leave, the employee, if otherwise eligible, shall receive holiday pay and such day shall not be charged to sick leave credits.

  • Disability Defined For the purposes of this Agreement, the Executive shall be deemed to have terminated his employment by reason of “Disability”, if the Board shall determine that the physical or mental condition of the Executive prevents him from the normal performance of his duties as determined by the Board.

  • Key Definitions As used herein, the following terms shall have the following respective meanings:

  • EMPLOYEE DEFINED As used in this Section, "employee" means any person holding a regular, provisional, or temporary appointment in the County service, and otherwise subject to the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding.

Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.

  • Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.

  • Existing Definitions Section 1.2 of the Credit Agreement is hereby amended as follows:

  • Immediate Family Defined Immediate family will be defined as father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, step children, step-parent, and any person domiciled and residing in the teacher’s home as a member of the teacher’s home as a member of the teacher’s family, and any person with whom the teacher lived for a substantial period as a child as if such person were the teacher’s parents.
